Giving Back to Fantasy Sports Live Members

The past few days I have been very lucky in my FSL contests. With my winnings I have been stocking up on etopps basketball cards that can used in the Roundball Challenge. For any Fantasy Sports Live members that do not have an etopps account and would like to enter the "Free" Roundball Challenge send me an email at etoppsgroup@yahoo.com and I will send you some cards to get you started for FREE!!! Fantasy Sports Live and etopps are the 2 greatest sites out there. I am trying to let the etopps members know about Fantasy Sports Live and the FSL members to know about etopps. Let me know if anyone has any questions about either site.

My Fantasy Sports Live Wish List

I just posted this at the FSL Forum.

Here are a couple of ideas that I would like to see at Fantasy Sports Live.

1. A new leader board that can be broken down into specific sports which includes both wins and losses.

2. A variety of different scoring games. For example, in Basketball have a big man game when only rebounds and blocked shots count in the scoring. Also could have a small man game where assists and steals are used. In baseball you could have a King of The Hill game where you select 4-5 starting pitchers and a couple relievers. You also could have a speed game where stolen bases and runs scored are used or a power game in which you select hitters and pitchers and only count extra base hits and strikeouts.

Jose Canseco, Danny Bonaduce fight to draw in celebrity boxing match

Wow, How pathetic is Jose Canseco? How could someone of his size and strength not knockout the 5'6" 180 pound Danny Partridge? He couldn't even win a decision. I think he should line up Gary Coleman or Tonya Harding for his next fight.

Playing Poker

This is my first post about poker. Although I live in Las Vegas and I love to play poker I don't make it to the poker rooms all that often. When I do play, I do not play in any cash games, I only play in tournaments. A few weeks back I decided to go play the nightly tournament at Sam's Town. It was my first time playing in about 6 months. There were about 30 entries and although I never had a big chip stack until the very end I somehow came in first place and won the $500+ prize. My most memorable hand was when we were down to the final 4 players and I was Big Blind. The remaining 4 players all had very close to the same chip stack. The person on the button went all in and I called with 5-5. He flipped over 8-8. I thought I was dead until a 5 hit on the flop. Just as I thought I would win that hand, an 8 came up on the turn and then I was dead again. That was until another 5 came up on the river to give me quads. I know I probably should not have called that hand but I felt that the all in bet was just a move to steal the blinds. This was the first time I ever came in first place in a tourny. I went back the next night and came in 3rd place and the night after I won my 2nd tournament. I have been back 3 times since and have not come close to placing. After winning those tournaments I thought I was better than I really am. I deposited some money into my full tilt account and the first couple day I won about $200 playing mostly single table sit and go's. I ended up losing back that $200 plus another $500 over the next few days and came to the conclusion that I won those tournaments at Sam's Town not because I am a good player but because I got very lucky. I will continue play a little here and there and with some more experience maybe I can become a better player.

Saturday Night Boxing Mis-Match

Are you kidding me? Tonight on internet pay per view you can order the big boxing match between Jose Canseco and Danny "Partridge" Bonaduce. I hate to admit it but for many years Jose Canseco was my idol. When I was living in Boston I tried to go to as many Red Sox vs. A's games just to watch Canseco and Mark McGwire take batting practice. I followed Canseco when he was still in the minor leagues and when he appeared on his first baseball card I bought 100 of them for $90. Several years later when he became the first player in Major League history to hit 40 homers and steal 40 bases in the same season I sold the 100 cards for$5,000. Man, I can't believe how far he has fallen. After blowing the $45+ million he earned as a player he is forced to turn to boxing as a way to make an income. His first fight didn't go so well. He only lasted 90 seconds against former Eagle punt returner Vai Sikahema. I guess to keep Canseco's boxing career going he needed to find an opponent that he can win against this time. So the 6'4" 260 pound Canseco will take on 5'6" 180 pound Danny Bonaduce. Canseco better watch out. Unlike Canseco, Bonaduce won his previous boxing match. He beat up on Barry Williams who played Greg Brady on the Brady Bunch a few years back.
